The report recently filed by his group proposes measures to organize the marketing of the production of Quebec artisanal products and give them a "naturally strong" voice in the Quebec media space. His doctoral thesis , "The place of production of a food product, a selection criterion", helped put local products on the menu. It identifies and shows the effect of macroeconomic variables on the preference of consumers to purchase products from their region and province.

In 2013, Norman  also conducted two studies: one on outdoor recreation and tourism in Ottawa and the other on the pursuit of excellence in recreation and tourism . He is currently working on the second edition of his book "Marketing communications, from theory to practice" and the preparation of studies on the "Technology adoption model" developed by his marketing  colleague, Jean-Pierre Lévy Mangin .
